Qualifications can make a huge difference to your career. They could add another dimension to your current job or help you find a whole new career direction. They’ll almost certainly show in your back pocket – research suggests that people with GCSEs earn more than 30% more over their lifetime than people without them.

The problem is, though: how do you pick up a valuable qualification without going back to college? Well, there is an answer. In the following section, you’ll have the chance to gain a qualification in English or Maths, the benefits of which should last a lifetime. And, best of all, you won’t have to leave the comfort of your own lounge to get it as you can take it all through Our Lounge.

The first step is a short online exercise that will give you a flavour of how online learning works. This will also assess how good your English and Maths is and the best way we can help. If it’s right for you, we’ll then give you the option of taking an online assessment through our training specialists – Cambridge Training and Development – that will be tailored to your level of expertise. Pass, and you’ll gain a qualification in either Maths or English that will prove useful in your current job and will look great on your CV.

Very few people have perfect English or Maths, but some need more help than others. The assessment will help identify whether you just sometimes forget where the apostrophe goes and struggle over long division, or whether your Maths and English need closer attention.
